About Us
What We Believe
We affirm that the Holy Scriptures are God's inerrant and infallible Word and as such it is our absolute and final authority for all matters pertaining to life and faith. We believe in one God Who is Triune, eternally existing as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus is the Christ, the promised Messiah, and that He was crucified and rose again on the third day, and now sits at the right hand of the Father until He comes again to receive His saints into everlasting joy and judge the faithless and unrepentant with eternal condemnation.
We believe that faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the gift of God without which no one can repent and be saved. We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to the Scripture alone, for the glory of God alone. We believe that all who are truly saved will never ultimately fall away from a state of grace but will be preserved until the end. In all that we believe the brass placard on the front corner of our church says it all, "To God Be The Glory".

Core Values
Here at the First Baptist Church of Sandy Hook, we strongly value a correct handling of the Word of God and strive to keep Him at the center of all that we do.

We are a very family-oriented church and welcome both adults and children of all ages! We have a newly-renovated nursery for the youngest children, AWANA ministries for elementary through middle school, young adult studies for high school and college students, and plenty of room in the sanctuary for adults.
Our church also emphasizes community service and outreach programs. No matter who you are or what your skill set is, there's always an opportunity to serve and get involved!
