Is it important to understand how Scripture addresses cultural blasphemy and/or heresy when it corrupts the church? Yes. Now more than ever it is. The above is but one such interaction you may have. Such wolves assume the appearance of Christians and then use shame and labels to silence biblical reproof of their cherished ideologies. Here are my thoughts on rebuking the above social gnosticism known as 'transgenderism' when or if it makes an appearance in your church. Let's take a look at a few verses:
Gen 1:26-28; Psalm 139:14; Matt 19:4; Mark 10:6 - male and female are fixed by creative mandate. To deny this basic truth is to also deny God’s sovereignty in creative intent, and the fearful and wonderful handiwork of God in the womb.
Deut 22:5 - assuming the appearance of a gender/sex that is not one’s own is an abomination to God. Principle? What is true of the lesser [a cloak] is most certainly true of the greater [artificial hormones and mutilation of the flesh].
Lev 22:24-25; Rom 12:1 - an animal with intentionally cut or bruised genitalia is not acceptable as a sacrifice in worship. Principle? What is true of the lesser animal is most certainly true of the greater in man who is commanded to offer his body as a living sacrifice in worship.
Transgenderism is not the relatively uncommon psychological condition of gender dysphoria which is a noetic disorder produced by the Fall of Adam and Eve into human depravity. That truth is intentionally distorted. Dysphoric conditions were once grouped with other personality disorders such as bipolar and schizophrenia that require counseling and medication to accept and cope with reality. With the deconstruction of medical terminology under the guise Critical Queer Theory and Marxist 'equity' it has been unscientifically revamped.
Transgenderism is a gnostic social construct of cultural Marxism that has the goal of ‘Queering’ (i.e. Critical Queer Thoery) biological sex using the illusion of "gender." It’s goal is a Communist form of androgyny like its counterpart Critical Theories of Gender Theory, Homosexual Studies, and Feminist Studies. It is an act of active rebellion against the creative mandate, is the abominable practice of assuming a gender not one’s own, and mutilates the genitals making one unfit to worship. It is also sexual immorality in desire and practice which is prohibited and judged throughout Scripture [e.g. Rom 13:13; 1 Cor 5:1, 5:11, 6:13, 18, 7:2, 10:8; 2 Cor 12:21; Gal 5:19; Eph 5:3; Col 3:5; 1 Thess 4:3] and thus must be repented of.

“A woman shall not wear a man's garment, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God. (Deu 22:5)
Any animal that has its testicles bruised or crushed or torn or cut you shall not offer to the LORD; you shall not do it within your land, neither shall you offer as the bread of your God any such animals gotten from a foreigner. Since there is a blemish in them, because of their mutilation, they will not be accepted for you.” (Lev 22:24-25)
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Rom 12:1-2)
